Full time hybrid working based at Hanslope Park near Milton Keynes with 60% of your time in the office

Free shuttle bus available between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park

You’ve got significant experience as a project and stakeholder manager, and enjoy working as a member of a collaborative and focused team. You’re an inspirational and motivating line manager and relish the opportunity to put your own stamp on a role. But now you want to move on. You want a new challenge, one with influence and importance. Here at FCDO Services we’ve got a unique opportunity for you, one that will see you coordinating a range of project and programme related governance and reporting, and providing a vital link between internal teams and our customers.

As a trusted government partner, we work on a huge range of projects, and help protect the UK’s interests around the world. We design and construct secure government buildings. We help earthquake-proof embassies. We keep complex developments on track, and on budget. And a whole lot more besides. Now we’re looking for a team-focused professional to join our Service Delivery team here at Hanslope Park.

Work across a wide range of important security and estate-based projects

Join us in this important role and you’ll work across a range of projects covering estates and technical security. Providing high quality financial administration, quality assurance, governance and reporting for outsourced portfolio activities, it’ll be your task to define processes, coordinate and plan resources, ensure adherence to SLAs and validate and report to internal stakeholders and customers. You’ll also manage relationships with our third party suppliers, help to drive procurement processes, develop and implement planning, engage suppliers and establish contract governance.

Help us improve our performance and the way we do things

You’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities, including monitoring the financial performance of contracts, managing the contract change process and seeking ways to improve performance. Proactive when it comes to implementing risk planning and dealing quickly with any related issues, we’ll expect you to work with clients and service providers to establish ongoing requirements and review the service we provide.

Use all your management skills as we defend the UK’s national security interests

With strong customer, stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills, you’ll be an excellent organiser and planner, and capable of analysing, interrogating and evaluating data. We’ll expect you to have well developed financial control and reporting skills and be ready to deliver to the very highest standards. An adaptable communicator and influencer and an understanding of NEC engineering and construction or professional services contracts would be desirable. In addition, knowledge of analysis techniques or systems and their application in a project or live service environment would be a bonus.

Grow your career in the biggest way possible

When you join us, you’ll be contributing to protecting the nation’s interests at home and overseas – but how will we help you in return? As well as a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement and a Civil Service pension, we’ll also support your development with training opportunities to help you advance your career with us. Our offices have an on-site gym, nursery, canteen, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there.

If you’re successful with your application, you’ll need to achieve Developed Vetting security clearance. This process can take some time, but the end result – an exciting and fulfilling career with FCDO Services – means that it’s well worth the wait. If you want to find out more about vetting and what we can offer you, please visit fcdoservicescareers.co.uk
