If you do, then this is the role for you, one where you’ll make an important contribution to the planning and implementation Maintenance, configuration and installation, work that will include the building of infrastructure components and provisioning tools.

In detail, your tasks will include identifying operational problems and contributing to their resolution, and providing fellow specialists, users and managers with reports and proposals for improvement. Investigating faults in systems, processes and services, you’ll advise on the implementation of solutions and preventative measures, take ownership of escalated incidents or service requests, and carry out technical investigations, diagnosis and the resolution of issues. We’ll also expect you to work on document asset information, including the identification, classification and specification of all items, and associated storage, access and version information.

Use your programming and build skills to deliver results that make a real difference

With Agile and ITIL Foundation level qualifications and Technology role-based qualifications, you’ll have significant experience of working with technologies in an enterprise environment, and of operating within a secure environment such as the MoD. Ready to join a high-pressured, fast-paced team, you’ll possess programming and build skills, be capable of analysing, interrogating and evaluating data, and drafting, writing and interpreting professional and technical documents.

We’ll expect you to have well developed asset, configuration, incident, change and release management skills, and any experience of working within ITIL environments would be an advantage. A practical understanding of relevant tools such as ServiceNow, along with server infrastructure and networks knowledge would be desirable. As would a desire to enhance current scripting skills, automation and patching techniques, and the opportunity to work with various Linux Distros.
