Workplace Experience Manager

You’re someone who wants to help others be at their best and knows how to make a difference. So, are you ready to look after our workplaces to support colleagues to deliver on projects with global impact? If so, it could be time to do your job, bigger.

At FCDO Services, we protect the UK’s interests around the world. We design and construct secure government buildings. We courier diplomatic packages across continents. We help earthquake-proof embassies. We safeguard government tech. And a whole lot more besides. As a Workplace Experience Manager, you’ll manage and evolve our workplaces to create efficient and comfortable spaces that help colleagues and teams to do their best work.

Use your skills to set colleagues up for success

This role is vital to make sure that your colleagues can deliver and be their best. We have specific objectives, projects and outcomes to deliver across a range of projects from workplace fit-out and process improvement, to culture change and stakeholder management. It’s a varied and interesting role in which you’ll use your knowledge of managing workplaces, experience of delivering projects and initiatives, people skills, and ideas to decide how we get there.

Manage projects to deliver real-world impact

You’ll apply your problem-solving skills and customer-centred approach to deliver an excellent internal workplace service and projects that significantly improve the workplace experience. Good at working with others, you’ll analyse information, generate ideas and solve problems to achieve objectives. All while making sure that you’re prioritising the right tasks and managing your workload, and maintaining good relationships – both internally and externally.

We promise our customers that we’ll always be reliable, responsive, and focused on building relationships, so you’ll be a talented communicator who really gets people. On top of that, you’ll also use your understanding of change management principles to ensure solutions and changes are delivered with care.

Get the training you need to accelerate your career

When you join us, you’ll be contributing to protecting the nation’s interests at home and overseas – but how will we help you in return? As well as a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement and Civil Service pension, we’ll also support your development with training opportunities to help you advance your career with us. Our offices have an on-site gym, nursery, canteen, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there. And if you want to work from home some of the time, we also offer hybrid working opportunities. It’s a superb package of benefits as you help us to protect our assets around the world.

All our employees have to be security cleared before being appointed, so you’ll need to undergo a vetting process as part of your application. This role requires you to go through Security Check (SC). You can find out more about vetting on our website.

It takes a diverse team to protect a diverse world

The vital work we do takes an incredible community of colleagues, with different skills, backgrounds, cultures and identities. We support every individual, so that you always know you’re welcome and valued. It’s what makes us a Disability Confident employer. And why we’re recognised as a ‘Carer Confident’ workplace. And it’s how you know you’re joining an inspiring, inclusive organisation.
