Finance Business Analyst

To engage with stakeholders to identify, understand and articulate the need for business change. To act as a key player in designing and delivering outputs required on various
business change projects and programmes.

A natural strategist and a keen financial brain, you’re at the top of your game as a Finance Business Analyst. At twenty paces, you can spot the issues that affect your business’ commercial strength, and make insightful recommendations that enable your team to perform better together. You drive continuous improvement in your organisation – and you’re continually aiming higher for yourself too.

We know how you feel. FCDO Services are valued by government-level customers worldwide, who look to us to provide secure construction, logistics, digital solutions, and more. Protecting the UK’s interests globally, our organisation has witnessed incredible growth – but our ambitions are bigger still. With our revenue set to grow from £190m to £230m in the next two years, we need to expand our Finance team to keep pace with our success and chart a course for the future.

That’s where you’ll come in as our new Finance Business Analyst. Part of a new wave of energetic experts, you’ll be the financial drive behind a thriving business that protects people, information, and assets across the planet. On top of a strong sense of purpose, you’ll find a home amongst our diverse family and enjoy all the perks – and pension – of a Civil Service career. In short? It’s your job, bigger.

Maximise profit to make our extraordinary work count for more

You’ll identify anything that impacts the commercial health of our business, using your strong MS Excel modelling skills to provide detailed analysis of our cost drivers, understanding how that in turn impacts our pricing. With a continuous improvement mindset, you will look to provide the critical tools our operations require, to ensure they provide value for money for all our government customers. You’ll make every process and procedure as simple as possible, and provide the insight we need to increase efficiency and profitability across all areas of our business.

Apply experience where it has extraordinary impact

Our remit sees us work with governments at home and overseas, rising to complex challenges – whether it’s repairing a centuries-old embassy, or providing a government body with top-of-the-line secure servers. That work and scale makes us a complex organisation, but we’re looking for someone who’ll quickly understand the inner workings of our business and our teams. You bring a real passion for making processes and systems work for people, not against them. Translating your findings into concepts that are easy for a wide range of audiences to understand will be second nature. You’ll also be adept at turning those findings into deliverable workstreams, and explaining them in a way that makes it easy for everyone to get onboard.

Enable business change and find life-changing rewards

You’re facing world-class challenges here – but you’ll also find incredible perks, like our Civil Service pension, free parking, and well-equipped campus, as well as a rare quality of work-life balance. You’ll leave work firmly at the office and get home on time – and if you’ve got young children, you might even take advantage of our onsite OFSTED-registered nursery. This is an inclusive, supportive team where flexible working is the norm. We’re big on diversity, big on inclusion and big on giving you whatever you need to succeed. Like we said, it’s your job bigger – and your benefits too.

Every single colleague must be security cleared before joining us. If you’re successful in your application, we’ll ask you to undergo our vetting process to achieve Security Check (SC) clearance. You can find out more about vetting on our website: https://www.fcdoservicescareers.co.uk/how-to-apply/

It takes a diverse team to protect a diverse world.

The vital work we do takes an incredible community of colleagues, with different skills, backgrounds, cultures and identities. We support every individual, so that you always know you’re welcome and valued. It’s what makes us a Disability Confident employer. And why we’re recognised as a ‘Carer Confident’ workplace. And it’s how you know you’re joining an inspiring, inclusive organisation.
