A key support role that’s different every day

This is very wide-ranging role within a busy section of our procurement team. In the space of a single day, you could be doing anything from processing purchase orders to compiling data for monthly management information reporting to getting involved in quotation exercises. A significant portion of your time will be focused on internal customers, supporting them through the purchasing process, processing their requests and handling day-to-day enquiries. Our customers deserve the very best, so you’ll help us to uphold our customer promise: to be reliable, responsive and build relationships.

Take your administration and communication skills to the next level

You will be dealing with people throughout FCDO Services, including members of senior management and external suppliers, so good communication skills, written and verbal are essential. Given the diverse nature of this role, you will need to be a highly organised person with the ability to prioritise your own workload. IT literacy is also important, including experience of creating spreadsheets and data management therefore attention to detail is paramount. You do not need any previous purchasing or procurement experience, however an interest in pursuing a career in procurement is beneficial.
