Project Manager

Welcome to a team whose projects help protect people, information and assets all over the world. We’re FCDO Services, and we work with government-level customers – including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office – to enable vital work every day. At any given moment, we’re delivering a wide range of projects around the world, all to the highest standards of security – including everything from the construction of overseas embassies to rolling out secure WiFi for government buildings here in the UK.

Join us as a Project Manager, and you’ll be right at the heart of our work. Surrounded by a supportive team, you’ll deliver small projects (up to £2m) with a global impact. What’s more, you’ll have real room to progress, stretching yourself and moving up to new responsibilities with our support.

Find learning that lasts a lifetime
You’ll thrive here if you’re the kind of person who’s keen to learn. You’ve hopefully got some project management experience already, and if it’s in the delivery of IT solutions, all the better. You also don’t have to be from the public sector: if your previous experience is in the private sector, you’ll be able to bring us that fresh perspective, whilst also being supported by colleagues who will help bring you up to speed on how we work in the Civil Service – the security and processes involved, and the way we provide value to the taxpayer. It’s constant learning, rising to new things, and discovering fascinating projects that will grow your skills every day.
Bring efficiency to exceptional projects
You’re the sort of person who’s always right on schedule – you can multi-task, prioritise your work, and keep an eye on the details, no matter the challenge. You’ll use all those skills here, helping us deliver projects on time, on budget and to the customer’s requirements. In doing all that, you’ll help us deliver on our promise to customers too – to be reliable and responsive, to build relationships, and above all, to be easy and enjoyable to work with. And of course, to help with that, you’ll need to have exceptional communication skills too.
Deliver projects and discover opportunity

There are big challenges here – but exceptional opportunity too. After all, you’ll be part of a flourishing team, with an impact across our organisation. Surrounded by energetic colleagues to help you thrive, you’ll gain experience of managing some truly rare and interesting projects. Plus, it goes without saying that your hard work will be rewarded with competitive benefits, like your Civil Service pension, as well as superb opportunities for progression. Because your impact will be worldwide, your outlook is too. In short, it’s your job, bigger.

All our employees have to be security cleared before joining us, so you will need to undergo a vetting process if you’re successful in your application. This role would require you to undergo Security Check (SC) clearance. You can find out more about vetting on our website.

It takes a diverse team to protect a diverse world.

The vital work we do takes an incredible community of colleagues, with different skills, backgrounds, cultures and identities.
