Business Relationship Support Officer

When you join FCDO Services, you’ll discover a team whose work defends the UK’s interests both at home and overseas. We work with partners across Government – including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office – to offer everything from construction to cyber security; logistics to IT. We could be installing secure servers for an embassy in Europe, providing secure communications for a High Commission in Asia, or renovating government buildings right here in the UK.

Join us as a Business Relationship Support Officer, and you’ll support all that work. You’ll ensure that – wherever we are, whatever we’re doing – our live services have smooth financial management, assuring adherence to internal governance and processes to provide the best service for our customers.

Keep projects under control – and keep learning

Nothing fazes you: you’re composed in a crisis and methodical in your work. That calm determination is vital here, since your role will sit across a vast range of projects and services. Because of that, we’re looking for someone who’s got plenty of administrative experience already, and you’re ready for a new challenge to stretch you. With a real eye for detail, you’ll dot the Is and cross the Ts on each and every project’s financial administration, making sure scoping and reporting are spot on and things run smoothly at every stage.

Communicate clearly with high-level customers

You’re a clear communicator and a great collaborator, working well with customers and internal stakeholders alike. Whether it’s supporting senior business managers, providing responses to ad hoc customer enquiries, or supporting the wider team in internal projects, you’re friendly, reliable, and you express yourself well to get just what you need. In doing that, you’ll also be helping us meet our customer promise: to be reliable and responsive, to build relationships, and above all, to be easy to work with.

Push us forward and push yourself to new heights

You’re driven to get the best results for your team and for our customers, and you’ll push our service to new heights too. You’ll spot where we could improve our customer management process. You’ll stay abreast of our changing tech capabilities and service offerings. And You’ll assist in progressing new business opportunities too, helping gather customer requirements and supporting fully-costed proposals.

There’s a lot to take in here, but for the right person, it’ll be just the challenge you need. And of course, You’ll find real rewards for your hard work too, with flexible working and competitive benefits, including our Civil Service pension, onsite OFSTED-registered nurseries, and more. So if you’re ready to support an organisation that protects people, information and assets all over the world, we’re looking for someone like you. This is your job, bigger.

It takes a diverse team to protect a diverse world.

The vital work we do takes an incredible community of colleagues, with different skills, backgrounds, cultures and identities. We support every individual, so that you always know you’re welcome and valued. It’s what makes us a Disability Confident employer. And Employers for Carers. And it’s how you know you’re joining an inspiring, inclusive organisation.
