As one of our Senior Technical Architects, you’ll be at the heart of that effort. Part of a pool of Technical leaders within our team, each Architect will have ownership of a key area of specialism (Networks, Infrastructure, End User Devices, Security). As Senior Technical Architect in Infrastructure, you will lead a small team of Technical Architects and work closely with the Hosting Service Owner, under guidance from the Chief Architect, to develop compliant, innovative solutions, as well as supporting the wider digital community in an Agile environment.

Within your area, you’ll lead on delivering high-level and low-level technical designs both for our organisation and wider government departments. In everything you do, you’ll ensure our work is best-practice and compliant with all industry and policy standards. Naturally, that means you’ll have extensive experience: for Infrastructure, it’s working with VMware platforms on hyper-converged infrastructure environments expanding into broader ‘cloud solution’ (e.g. AWS, Azure). Your technical skills are outstanding and you can explain your work in clear terms for non-technical colleagues too.

Creating a detailed and ambitious roadmap for the Hosting service owner, you’ll also feed into the overall strategy of the Director and the Chief Architect, lending them your insight to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve and are competitive in our market. And when you do, you’ll be making sure that our government customers get the very highest standards in secure technology, keeping vital data and services safe every day. All our employees have to be security cleared to the highest level, so you’ll need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.
