Senior Corporate Communications Officer

You’re a passionate communications expert. You bring an innovative flair for creating digital content and a deep understanding of channels. Plus, you’re able to influence and build effective alliances at every level. So, isn’t it time to apply your expertise to something bigger?

At FCDO Services you can use what you know to do vitally important work, like helping to keep the country safe and secure. We exist to protect the UK’s interests around the world. So it’s crucial that we communicate the right information to the right people, in the right way and at the right time. That’s where you come in.

Take up a new, pivotal role

Our Corporate Communications team expertly manages our outputs and strategic relationships, both internally and externally. We’re increasing and improving their capacity to deliver. That’s why we’ve created this exciting new role, which touches everything from external affairs to internal, strategic, media and marketing communications. As our Senior Corporate Communications Officer, you’ll help deliver high-quality communications and strategic engagement with our key stakeholders. As you help build a reputation and brand that reflects our values, you can expect to work closely with our CEO, Executive Board and senior leaders. It’s an incredible opportunity to work across projects and programmes that help keep the country safe. You’ll be giving the wider world an insight into the important work we do, sometimes for the first time.

Apply your expertise where they matter

We’re looking for someone who brings excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal skills. With strong planning and organisational skills, you’re able to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines. Your understanding of internal and external communications will be crucial, as will your knowledge of channel usage and employee engagement best practice. What’s more, you’ll have plenty of experience around designing or implementing digital communication strategies and campaigns and how to produce eye-catching content.

Enjoy a future that’s safe and secure

You’ll be helping to protect the nation’s interests at home and overseas. But what can we offer, in return? Job security is one huge aspect, and you’ll be supported to grow and progress to even bigger things. We’ll encourage you to keep developing, stay up to date with best practice and engage with new technologies, working closely to the aims of the Government Communication Service. By doing this, you’ll help us to protect people, information and assets, around the world. In short, it’s your job, bigger.
