Business Support Officer

Our Operations group tackles some of our fastest-paced and most challenging projects. And as part of the Strategy Performance and Governance team within it, you'll provide the crucial admin support that keeps the whole operation running smoothly.

Take on a more far-reaching challenge
In a role that's as interesting as it is diverse, you'll be involved in everything from keeping our database of contract staff updated to creating requisition orders for goods and services, all with a view to ensuring that we comply with the latest regulatory standards, support legislation and achieve ever-higher levels of customer engagement. As well as enabling you to make a tremendous contribution to the team, juggling these different priorities will give you the chance to develop a wide range of new skills and broaden your own personal experience.

Make the most of your existing talents
To rise to the challenge, you'll need to be highly organised with excellent planning skills. But at the same time, you must be flexible and adaptable with a totally unflappable approach. From a practical standpoint, you'll need a good grasp of IT – particularly the Microsoft Office suite. And while you must work well as part of team, you've also got to be happy working on your own initiative. Perhaps most importantly, you must be a natural communicator – someone who can quickly gain the confidence, trust and respect of stakeholders across the organisation.

And build a great career with FCDO Services
At FCDO Services, we protect information, assets and people for organisations here in the UK and all around the world. Our customers, who include the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, look to us to respond with speed, agility and innovation to their ever-changing security challenges. This gives every job at FCDO Services added significance – not least those in Operations. This role, then, will expose you to many different areas of the business while giving you an overview of our entire operation. And with our quality training and development opportunities, who knows where it could lead?

All our employees have to be security cleared before being appointed, so you will need to undergo a vetting process as part of your application. This role requires you to go through Security Clearance Vetting (SC). You can find out more about vetting on our website.
