Deliver software solutions that protect the UK’s interests globally

Your job will be to design, code, test, correct and document large or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications. As a senior developer, you will not only be expected to write the code yourself but will also oversee the work of others, acting as one of the team’s recognised experts and using your strategic thinking to deliver integrated solutions. You will form part of a team that manages environments as part of a SDLC cycle. You’ll also be responsible for advising clients and senior colleagues on how best to resolve more complex and innovative technical challenges.

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders inside and outside your team, so it’s important that you have excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills – and that you are prepared to invest significant time in listening to and supporting others. You’ll need to be a strong analytical thinker and problem-solver with proven knowledge of the software development lifecycle. You’ll also need experience of managing your own workload and working in a high-pressured, fast-paced team. Specific skill areas we’re looking for include:

During COVID-19 the onsite working rota for this role is 2 weeks onsite and 8 weeks remote working, post COVID-19 the role will be based full time at Hanslope Park. This role is also part of an on-call rota.

Hanslope Park based posts attract a Location Allowance of £1,750 per annum.
