Oracle Subject Matter Expert (Super User)

Our customers look to FCDO Services to keep information, assets and people safe all around the world. By providing expert advice and guidance at the heart of our operation, you’ll help us do just that.

You’ll maintain a system the organisation depends on
This is an opportunity to join the small but highly skilled team of Subject Matter Experts who maintain the FCDO Services Oracle system. Together, you’ll be responsible for keeping the system up to date, ensuring it reflects the current FCDO Services structure, processes and policies, and for identifying, investigating and correcting exceptions. You will also act as a system expert, providing specialist advice and guidance to all FCDO Services Oracle Users.

You are a great communicator and team player
To thrive within this close-knit team, you’ll need a combination of IT and finance skills, which you’ll have developed while working within a finance function. Oracle experience would be ideal but is not essential as full training will be provided. What is essential, however, is that you have the ability to communicate effectively, show plenty of initiative and can take responsibility for organising your own work. You will also need to be an excellent problem solver with strong numerical and analytical skills.

And you’re ready to take a step up
At FCDO Services, we keep information, assets and people safe all around the world. Our customers, who include the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, look to us to respond with speed, agility and innovation to their ever-changing security challenges. This gives every job here added significance, and also provides an ideal environment in which to hone your problem-solving ability and technical skills.

All our employees have to be security cleared before being appointed, so you will need to undergo a vetting process as part of your application. This role requires you to go through Security Check (SC). You can find out more about vetting on our website.

It takes a diverse team to protect a diverse world.

The vital work we do takes an incredible community of colleagues, with different skills, backgrounds, cultures and identities. We support every individual, so that you always know you’re welcome and valued. It’s what makes us a Disability Confident employer. And Employers for Carers. And it’s how you know you’re joining an inspiring, inclusive organisation.
